In celebration of VWL’s 30th anniversary in 2026, we speak with lawyers, barristers and members of the judiciary about the grit that has shaped, and continues to shape, careers in the law. In episode one, VWL's Julia Eastoe moderates a discussion with Justice Taylor, VWL's first president Deanne Weir and barrister Amanda Carruthers.
In episode two, VWL's Annaleise Vulin moderates a discussion with Justice Parker, Raelene Sharp KC and Lia Cam.
In episode three, VWL's Shivani Pillai moderates a discussion with The Honourable Betty King KC and Elizabeth Ruddle KC and Emma Turnbull.
Across this three-part series, we look at three decades of change since Victorian Women Lawyers was founded; the first, futures and groundbreakers in the law, and dive into the cases that have changed us.
Mentors and mentees will work through practical scenarios, strengthen professional relationships and reflect on the impact and success of the program.
We are delighted to welcome experienced legal professionals seeking to support and inspire the next generation through mentoring, as well as aspiring lawyers and early-career practitioners looking to gain valuable guidance as they navigate the legal profession.
Attendees will hear from our patrons, Justice Ierodiaconou and Justice Tsalamandris on their own mentoring journeys and roles as mentors and mentees.
This VWL Mentoring Workshop is proudly sponsored by The College of Law and WBA.
You must be a full VWL member (not an Associate or Student membership) to vote at the AGM.

Celebrations to follow once the AGM has concluded, from 6:30pm.
