I became a lawyer because …

I like to problem solve and wanted to help people, and because I have an almost stubborn ambition for fairness.

A key mentor who influenced my career is …

I am fortunate enough to have had a few highly intelligent, straight talking, strong willed female mentors at Corrs who have each influenced my career at different times and in different ways.

I am really proud of …

My team and my family.

Before I started at Corrs …

I spent six months travelling around Australia with my now husband.  We explored remote deserts, gorges and beaches, camped in some incredible locations (and sometimes on the side of the highway) and enjoyed a wholesome and simple life.

You can have it all …

If you work hard and, let’s face it, have some luck.  After all, you need good health, education and support to be motivated and able to take opportunities when they arise, and to make them when they don’t.

One of the key legal initiatives I am involved in …

Is the Homeless Law clinic run by Justice Connect. Corrs supports its lawyers participating in this program at all stages of their careers, and I have personally found it to be an incredibly grounding experience.

If I wasn’t a lawyer …

I would probably be a farmer (as a kid I always wanted to be a ‘bucketman’, aka a farmer of course!)

The best advice I ever received was ...

Measure twice, cut once.

I am extremely grateful for …

The support that I have always received at Corrs in terms of my professional development and more recently, balancing my career with parenthood.

Outside of the law …

I like to spend time with my family, particularly my husband and my lovely, but cheeky 18 month old daughter.  We love to get outdoors and get involved – whether it be the beach, the bush or some sort of project around the house (they seem to be never ending…).
